The Potting Shed is an independent ground floor double bedroom located adjacent to and available to rent along with Sunflower Lodge to provide total accommodation across the two properties for up to six people.   The Potting Shed has lovely French doors opening onto the grounds of le Triskèle, so is suitable for the slightly-less mobile. Decorated to a high standard, this accommodation with en-suite shower room, boasts original features including open fireplace, exposed stone walls and beamed ceiling.  Offering privacy and its own en suite facilities, it is ideal adjust to Sunflower Lodge for couples sharing, for grandparents, or perhaps for teenage children seeking some privacy!

  • Situé dans un charmant petit village de 87 habitants entouré par les vignes, c'est un lieu idéal pour trouver le calme ou pour dénicher toutes les merveilleuses églises romanes de la région. Il y a aussi beaucoup de départs de promenade dans de jolis chemins semi ombragés. La maison en elle-même a beaucoup de cachet et de charme. Elle est très bien équipée. Il faut noter qu'une chambre est traversante, ce qui peut poser des problèmes d'intimité. Nos hôtes nous ont donné des indications très précises pour trouver la maison. Quoique leur maison soit adjacente à la nôtre, leur présence, très discrète, n'a jamais été pesante.

  • Jolie maison très spacieuse et très bien équipée avec chambres à l'étage. La cuisine dispose de tout l’électroménager nécessaire. Literie de bonne qualité. Jardin entourant la maison entièrement clôturé. Village isolé ou le réseau téléphonique est parfois difficile. Pas de TV en langue française. En cette période de canicule les chambres étaient très chaudes.

  • Joy and Ian's cottage is a little paradise on earth, both inside and out.  Located in a very beautiful tourist region, it has all the comforts and is nicely decorated.  The hosts are charming, available and attentive: you won't miss anything!  Highly recommended, but don't say it too loud, or there won't be any more space 😉

  • Superb accommodation in an ideal location

    We rented Sunflower Lodge & The Potting Shed for our summer holiday this year, and what a great decision it turned out to be. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, and all the bedding/towels/etc freshly laundered and ready for use. Everything you could need is included, from kitchen foil through to dishwasher tablets. There is more room than we would ever require indoors for a family of four - not that we needed it with the fantastic weather. The owners, Joy and Ian, are lovely people. They were always happy to answer any queries we had, and clearly had a genuine interest in us having the best possible holiday experience. The village of Villemorin is pretty and quiet, and ideal for stargazing under the dark skies. If you are interested in night time photography, the communal garden affords a superb view of the Milky Way. There are many places to visit within a reasonable drive, including La Rochelle, Saintes, Rochefort, Ile De Re - the list goes on. In summary, Sunflower Lodge & The Potting Shed exceeded our expectations and we have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

  • Another perfect stay in the heart of the Charente Maritime.  The accommodation is great for a family, clean and well equipped.  Joy and Ian are lovely hosts and it is always a pleasure to return.  We will be back again in the future.

  • Just a note to say thank you very much for a lovely stay at Le Triskele, we greatly enjoyed our week.

    Looks like we were lucky with the weather and it was good to be able to use the bikes quite a bit – some perfect quiet roads with lovely views plus good restaurants to head for!

    We were very impressed with the cottage – bigger than we had expected and you’ve really thought of everything to make for a relaxing time.

    We hope that we’ll be able to visit again and perhaps try one of the other cottages then too.

  • Ian and Joy were wonderful hosts.  We stayed in Lavender Cottage for 2 weeks in July 2018.  The Cottage itself was lovely, very quaint.  Very clean and spacious.  The location was ideal to visit all areas of the Charente, including Cognac (inland) and la Rochelle (coastal) and everything inbetween.  We would definitely consider staying there in the future.  Full Marks!

  • Joy and Ian's house is the perfect place to recharge your batteries and let yourself be lulled by the sound of the bumblebees that come to forage the hibiscus... The small, light bell tower of the church reminds us that we are in the south...  Close to the Marais Poitevin, the sea and Cognac... Perfect and secure location if you have children!  In brief! Do not hesitate !  Plus the hosts are really nice!
