The pretty town of Cognac is only 27 miles from Villemorin.
The town centre is very pretty and well worth a walk, whilst of course visitors will want to take one of the Cognac tours. The tour at Hennessey, on the banks of the Charente, is good fun, as is the Remy Martin tour.
You can also take a boat tour in the Gabare la Dame Jeanne, which is a reproduction of an old wooden cognac barge. There are musical events every Tuesday evening during August (booking essential).
The Cognac Blues Passions music festival takes place in early July each year.
